Hey I was just reading I am actually wondering if height reduction surgery is possible. In my search to find information on height decreasing surgery I have only come across one article giving an example of height reduction, the rest were all just to increase your height so I thought perhaps a proffessional speciallizing in limb lengthening might know anything about limb shortenting and could help me with my problem as well. A few answers to your questions: In the USA, Dr. Cole and Paley do not lengthen more than 2 inches in one procedure for safety reasons. The procedure directly costs about $70,000 and all in it costs roughly $90,000. In Europe, Dr. Betz or Dr. Guichet, it costs roughly $70,000 all in an both doctors will lengthe up to 4 inches but with a greater risk of complications - some very long term perhaps permanent. Older style exteral frames lengtehning is practiced in China ($30,000) and Russia (Kurgan Institute about $25,000). Both places require a 5 month stay. In Europe or the USA, one can go home after about 2 months on crutches but it takes about 6 months to walk normally. Leg shortening is possible and is performed in all the above mentioned places.

To the girls who want to reduce your height, at 5'7" and male I wish I could take some extra inches from you!! Honestly, at 5'6" you are only 1 inch above average for women, not what I could consider tall. Remember, most female models are 5'9" + inches tall. Height is sexy.
